Our Mission
The Michael Kornacki Foundation is a nonprofit organization, who’s mission is to provide support for those seeking help from drug and alcohol addiction.
Our organization is fittingly named after Mike “Knack” Kornacki, who worked in the recovery field for many years. Mike worked as a Senior Director at sober living programs in both Daytona Beach, Florida and Greenville, South Carolina. In his capacity, he counseled and helped hundreds of men on their journey in staying clean & sober. He also served as the court liaison officer where he helped scores of men have a chance in recovery instead of prison. Mike was a firm believer in 12 Step programs and sponsored many men who got and stayed sober.
Since our establishment, it has been our primary goal to assist in the war on drugs in our community. We aim to provide a support system that can help people in need overcome their addiction, recover, and ultimately become productive members of society.
Our Foundation provides financial assistance to low-income men or women that are seeking help recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. We provide funds to pay for outpatient treatment, housing, transportation and assistance. We aim to help people in need to obtain the necessities that will allow them to be healthy and to recover from addiction.
What We Do

We locate and select recipients for scholarship based on need and only select individuals that have proven that they are in recovery and willing to go the necessary lengths to stay clean.

We work to form charitable partnerships in the community that can directly impact lives and help people overcome their addictions with drugs and alcohol.

— We Strengthen
We believe in the opportunity to support those suffering from this disease. We assist people in obtaining long term recovery in environments that promote the principals we all believe in.

— We Educate
We can offer guidance and recommendations to help bridge the gap for individuals whom are leaving detox and are looking to get into a safe and supportive sober living environment.

— We Provide Care
Our foundation provides scholarships to a limited number of individuals every month which covers the initial intake fees required to get into an approved sober living environment.
06.
— We Consult
Generally, an individual or group sits or speaks with somebody suffering from addiction in order to help them find recovery. We can often assist with recommendations and referrals.
