Who We Are

Nearly 23 million Americans suffer from a substance use disorder, yet only about one in 10 receive treatment.

Addiction and substance use disorders touch the lives of people in big cities and small towns, across every income level. We can’t arrest or incarcerate our way out of it—we need a new approach.

Substance use disorders are chronic diseases, and recovery is only possible through effective and ongoing care—not neglect or stigmatization. It is the belief of the Michael Kornacki Foundation that whoever is in need of treatment and ongoing support should be able to get it. We should invest in and empower our recovery community organizations.

Through our various pro-recovery partnerships in the community, donation platforms and local fundraisers, The Michael Kornacki Foundation’s mission is to address this epidemic by offering scholarships into sober living and treatment programs to addicts & alcoholics who wish to recover from their addiction.

Our Approach

Outlining Our Sober-Living Scholarship Program

If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction and you don’t have the financial resources available to seek help and/or treatment, please contact us to see if you may qualify for one of our sober living entry scholarship programs. There are a limited amount of scholarships available pending qualification and funds availability.

The Michael Kornacki Foundation sobriety house navigation includes a few different areas of support for qualifying individuals.  These areas include: treatment navigation into a facility for those struggling with addiction, a recovery housing scholarship program for those in need of a recovery residence and recovery  guidance and support for said addict/alcoholic.

Potential recipients of a recovery house scholarship should be motivated to live in a structured sober living environment and be willing to work with assigned recovery coaches in developing and following a recovery plan through setting goals to enhance their quality of life in recovery.
